 Reporting to Parents   

 

Home–School Communication

At Little River School, we value strong, open communication between home and school. Effective reporting is an important part of the learning partnership and ensures parents and whānau stay well informed about their child’s progress and achievement.

We report to parents in a variety of ways throughout the year, including:

• Learning Updates through HERO: Twice a year, teachers share detailed reports through the HERO app. These reports include progress in reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as information about your child’s engagement in other curriculum areas and key competencies.
• Parent-Teacher Meetings: Formal meetings are held twice a year to discuss student progress, learning goals, and next steps. Parents are always welcome to arrange additional meetings with teachers at any time.
• Celebrations of Learning: Throughout the year, students may share their learning through class events, portfolios, or digital platforms, giving families an insight into classroom experiences and progress.
