Lap the Map for Diabetes - Mufti Day

The Akaroa and Bays Lions are participating in Lap the Map for Diabetes during November. This is to spread awareness and fundraise for diabetes prevention.
The idea is that all Lions throughout New Zealand are going to "Lap the Map" which is to walk a combined distance surpassing the perimeter of the New Zealand coastline (15,000km).
We would love to include your school in this event and are asking whether you would be keen to support our efforts by your students donating their mufti day gold coin in November to this event and we come to the school and have some students lap your school field to help us get our kilometers up (some of our members are a wee bit slower moving these days!!!).
We will have a whiteboard to keep a tally, perhaps some music and I may even try to get some prizes - anyone that wants to can run for ten minutes around the field.
