We offer free, interactive 50-minute sessions designed to help students understand the risks of noise-induced hearing loss, basic ear care, ear anatomy, safe listening levels, and more. With increasing exposure to loud sounds through modern technology, hearing loss is becoming a major issue—1 in 5 people under 35 are already affected, and this number is set to double in the next 30 years.
Our program supports the Health and Physical Education curriculum by promoting students' well-being through safe listening practices and informed decision-making. It also complements the Science curriculum, particularly in understanding sound, hearing anatomy, and the impact of noise on the body.
The session is highly recommended for Years 7-8, as this is a crucial stage for developing healthy listening habits. However, the programme can be adjusted and delivered to all age groups to ensure content is engaging and age-appropriate.
